Every time the Powerball or Mega Millions Lottery jackpot gets high, I start to think about what I would do if I won the lottery. Do you ever have those daydreams? I’d pay all my bills, buy a new house and cars for me and my husband, and set my mother up quite nicely. I’d visit all my close relatives and friends in the U.S. because the fam and I are moving to France.

My husband always jokes that I won’t tell him that I’ve won. He’ll just come home one day, and the dog and I will be gone. Well, I wouldn’t say that. . . But the estimated jackpot for Powerball is $116M on Wednesday. If I win, there may be only one Dope Sistah on Thursday. Deuces!

See, that ain’t even right, Da Realist 1! Unlike my sistah who just sold me out, I would actually continue writing this blog. In fact, I would quit my job immediately and become the writer that I dream to be.

I often imagine myself sitting on a cabana writing the Great American Novel, while sipping margaritas. I would have a house somewhere in Martinique, St. Thomas, or another Caribbean island, and I would frequent that home as my getaway from living in my Washington, D.C home. I would travel to Dakar, Senegal; Nairobi, Kenya; Accra, Ghana; Johannesburg, South Africa and so many other places.

Okay, I will calm down on my dreams. Now, you tell us what you would do if you won some day. . .
